Nationwide Delivery (For customers outside of the Kansas City Area)

Note: For orders outside of Kansas and Missouri, you get the added bonus of NO SALES TAX!

Orders are taken and processed within 24 hours of placing them. The customer will be notified at that time of approximate delivery times. We are conservative by saying 3-5 weeks because if an item is in stock, it is usually picked up from our wholesaler's warehouse within 3 days. Then from there its just approximately 3-12 days depending on your location.

To get an accurate ship quote, simply place the items in your shopping cart, create an account and click the link within the shopping cart page.

The options for nationwide delivery are described below:

1) White Glove - White Glove service includes inside delivery, trash removal, and 30 minutes of setup or installation when needed. This is the top level and our agents are trained to make sure customer service comes first.

2) Curbside (First Dry Area) - Curbside delivery is still handled by highly trained furniture delivery specialist, just minus the final steps. Orders are delivered to your door, or to the first dry area, but it is your responsibility to bring everything inside and setup.

Delivery can be an expensive part of furniture purchases online. We try to offset this by discounting the shipping by 10% of the value of your purchase AUTOMATICALLY. The amount of your discount is displayed on the first page of the checkout process when selecting your option for delivery. We also want to say that if there are ANY companies, website or not, that can beat our prices even including shipping and handling, let us know and we should be able to discount MUCH further to insure that we are still the best price possibe in the country. With our model for doing business, we are RARELY able to be undercut pricewise.

Orders placed with Home Sweet Furniture are our top priority and immediately enter the process to ultimately have the items at your home. Approximate timeframes are currently in the 3-5 weeks range for most deliveries. If an item is out of stock, and needs to be ordered from the factory, or if it is a special order item, this will require extra time. If you are in a remote area (more then 30 miles from a major airport or major city) this may also cause delays.

Home Sweet Furniture can, typically, discount the cost of their items to help keep the cost of shipping as low as possible, under $150 is always our goal. Couple this with the fact that if you are outside of the Kansas and Missouri states, we do NOT have to charge sales tax on the order! You can come by our Wholesaler's location and loading dock, located at 501 Funston Road, Kansas City, KS 66115. To shop their 30,000 sq foot showroom floor in person as a guest of HomeSweetFurniture.com all you need to do is print off This Pass and bring it with you!

Local Delivery

Cost: $75 but is discounted 10% of the purchase price until FREE!, No matter how much is purchased
This is for customers within 30 miles of downtown Kansas City. If you choose this option during checkout, a member of the delivery team will contact you to schedule inside delivery of instock items within 48 hours. This delivery will take place within 5 days of this conversation. For a small extra fee, they will bring their tools and assemble anything that needs to be put together. Just ask about this option when they contact you if you are interested. Items will be carried inside and arranged per your instruction.

POLICY ON CANCELLING ORDERS

Once the order is placed with Home Sweet Furniture, the order is placed directly with our wholesaler within 48 hours. If the item is a special order item, payment is made on behalf of the customer immediately and therefore the customer is immediately responsible for the order. Special order items cannot be cancelled because of this, so please make sure that you want the exact items purchased if the item is a special order. Once this step has been completed Home Sweet Furniture, and thus the customer, become financially obligated to purchase the ordered merchandise from the manufacturer. For this reason, we don't accept order cancellations on special orders. On regular stock, a cancellation after 24 hours will constitue a 6% processing fee being removed from the refund for credit card processing (3% for process and 3% for refund). Order cancellation can be denied by Home Sweet Furniture management discretion only. At the time an order is placed the customer receives a notification via e-mail describing all order details. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the information in this e-mail receipt is correct. We give you 24 hours to review your e-mail confirmation and reply with any discrepancies or changes at no charge. If the customer does not notify us of any changes within the 24-hour window Home Sweet Furniture will proceed with ordering the merchandise from it's wholesaler. Any exception to this Cancellation Policy will be solely at the discretion of Home Sweet Furniture management. In the event that Home Sweet Furniture management agrees to proceed with the cancellation of an order, the customer may be responsible for a cancellation or restocking fee of up to 20% of the purchase price as well as any shipping and handling fees that may apply. In order for a cancellation to be addressed, the customer must submit the request in writing via e-mail to beth@homesweetfurniture.com. Please note that only written requests for cancellation will be processed by Home Sweet Furniture.

DAMAGES

Please note that Home Sweet Furniture is not responsible for the handling of the merchandise once it leaves our wholesaler's warehouse. Because of this, any damage that occurs AFTER the product has left our wholesaler's warehouse is not the responsibility of Home Sweet Furniture. However, in the instance damage occurs, we will do all we can to help the customer file a claim and resolve the matter accordingly. The companies that we use for delivery are all licensed, bonded, and insured and as a result you agree by ordering from Home Sweet Furniture.com that any legal action will be direct towards these companies. If an item is to be repaired or replaced, payment must be recieved from the company responsible for the damage before this can take place. Please continue reading for information on what you can do to insure this all happens in the timliest of manners if the rare occasion of damage does occur. Home Sweet Furniture and the shipping companies utilized every tool at their disposal to lower the risk of damages as much as possible. However, accidents do occur. When they do, a lot of responsibility falls on the customer to insure that a damage claim can be filed and upheld so that a new item can be shipped to the customer, slightly damaged items can be repaired, or a refund can be applied. As the customer, if there is damage and it is not notated on the delivery reciept and aknowledged by the carrier, then a claim cannot be filed and a replacement or repair cannot be authorized by Home Sweet Furniture. The method of reimbursement is 100% at the discretion of Home Sweet Furniture management. Here is a brief description of what you can do to help in this process. First it is a good idea for you to be present at the time of delivery of your furniture, but if need be you can leave a note in place of your signature. Just let the local delivery agent know that you will be doing so. When you are present for the delivery of your product, please inspect the exterior of the packaging thoroughly and note any damage on the delivery reciept. On rare occasions if your product is damaged in shipping and you see damage on the box and it looks like the product itself is damaged, also notate this. If you can clearly tell that the product is damaged, then and only then may you refuse delivery. Please note in all cases, your furniture is insured against freight damage. However, you must notify us within 48 hours of recieving your product if their are any problems. If there are damages we ask that you provide pictures of the damage and you can email those to Beth@homesweetfurniture.com. If you do not have access to a digital camera, you can mail these pictures to our office at 410 NW Englewood Rd, Kansas City, MO 64118. Again for a freight claim to be honored we need to be notified of any damages within 48 hours and also please sign ANY discrepencies off on the delivery reciept and make sure that the driver notes them as well if possible. Even if the product is not damaged at all, it is better to be safe than sorry!

Returns

Any item purchased from HomeSweetFurniture.com is returnable for up to 30 days from the date of delivery. HomeSweetFurniture.com reserves the right to deny return if an item is damaged after delivery. Any delivery charges are non-refundable and the cost of return shipment is at the cost of the purchaser, not HomeSweetFurniture.com. A 20% restocking fee will be assessed to all returned items. If an order has been placed and is cancelled not within 24 hours, a 3% fee for credit processing will be applied to the order before refund.
